13th June 2004 - Appeal to local businesses - can you help?

This week sees the start of our campaign for support from local businesses and we are seeking help from supporters for distribution.
Two A4 pages have been produced and we need volunteers to distribute the letters to as many shops, businesses or individuals as possible.
The content of these letters is as follows:
THE NEW TROWBRIDGE TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB GAIN PROMOTION!
Hello. You are probably aware of the Town’s senior football club and we would like to tell you more about us and ask for your support.
The NEW CLUB was formed by supporters following the demise of the old club, which folded because of financial difficulties. We are a MEMBERS club – 250 strong.
Our PLAYERS are local lads and most of them have progressed through the successful Trowbridge Town Youth set up, with whom we have close links. Indeed, we hire their facilities at Woodmarsh, which is at the end of Bradley Road. We are working with the Town Council and others seeking additional sporting facilities in the town, including a permanent home for ourselves.
THIS SEASON - our fifth - finished with us clinching the Championship of the Wiltshire League Premier Division and winning the Wiltshire Senior Cup. The icing on the cake? Surely securing promotion to the Hellenic League Division One West - the next rung on the football pyramid ladder. We are anticipating regular attendances of 150/200 at our home games.
Our SUPPORTERS help themselves!! They support social functions, which include quizzes and race nights. They contribute to regular raffles, a tote, the FRIENDS page in the programme and our End of Season Draw. Our finances are in good order. However with modest ground improvements, which are necessary to meet the League requirements, transport, kit, match balls, and training there will be an increase in our expenditure and we are asking local firms for their support. There is so much young talent in Trowbridge and your help will encourage this and the development of football in our County town.

THIS IS HOW YOU CAN HELP
We offer a number of options, which are detailed overleaf. For instance for just £10 your business can become a FRIEND and be listed on the Friends page in every programme for the whole season. We do realise you get many requests of this nature from other organisations but any support you could give us would be greatly appreciated. Please help us to put TROWBRIDGE back on the football map.
If you can help us with the distribution, please contact me by e-mail or phone Roy While direct on 01225 704063
